Delete your account
How deletion works, the 30-day recovery window, and what is kept.
Updated 4 August 2026
Deleting your account happens in two stages: it is closed immediately, then permanently erased 30 days later.
- Consider exporting your data first.
- If you have an active subscription, cancel it first — see Cancel your subscription. Deleting the account does not stop Google Play billing on its own.
- In Account settings on bmreducation.com/account, choose Delete account and confirm.
Straight away
You are signed out everywhere, your password stops working, any Google sign-in link is removed, and we stop sending you email. Your account can no longer be used.
After 30 days
Everything personal is permanently erased and cannot be recovered: chats, messages, uploaded files, study notes and PDFs, decks, plans, progress, mastery, and your profile.
Changed your mind?
Contact support within 30 days and we can restore the account. After the 30 days there is nothing left to restore.
Signing up again with the same email
You can. Your email address is released the moment you delete, so you can create a fresh account with it right away — it starts empty, with none of the old data.
What is kept, and why
- Payment and invoice records are retained for tax and accounting obligations. Your name and email are stripped from them.
- Your email address stays on our do-not-contact list so a deleted account is never emailed again. Signing up again automatically clears this.
- If you study with an institute on EdCoach, the institute keeps its own academic records — grades, submissions, attendance, and teacher feedback belong to the institute, not to your personal account. Deleting removes you from the batch and erases your personal data; it does not erase the institute's records.
If you run or teach at an institute
Deletion is blocked while you still have live responsibilities — see Deleting an admin or teacher account.
