Answers look outdated or wrong

How EdChat handles current information, and what to do about mistakes.

Updated 16 July 2026

EdChat can make mistakes. Always verify important information — especially numbers, dates, and anything you'd act on.

Current information

For time-sensitive questions (news, dates, prices, "latest" anything), EdChat can perform web lookups and ground the answer in current sources. If a reply looks stale, ask explicitly: "search the web for the latest…".

Getting better answers

  • Switch to Thinking mode for anything with multi-step reasoning — it checks its own work.
  • Give context: class level, exam, syllabus, or the exact source you're working from.
  • Attach the actual document when asking about specific material.

Report a bad answer

If an answer is clearly wrong or the model misbehaves, contact support with the chat contents (use share or copy) — real examples are the fastest way for us to fix quality issues.
